Pedro Duran stops his opponent at the end of 3 rounds

ROSARITO, Baja California, Mexico (Feb 28, 2015) - The night was young as Pedro ‘Lil Pete’ Duran (10-0, 7 KO’s) defeated Manuel Villalobos at the beginning of the 4th round as his opponent stayed put in his corner.

“It was one shoot, the right hook, which opened his (Manuel) eye up as I saw that as my clear opportunity to finish him” said Lil Pete.

Lil Pete opened up the first round throwing a low number of combinations while working the jab. In the second round, Lil Pete was able to land high numbered combinations on his weary opponent. The third round made the difference as Lil Pete opened up Villalobos right eye with a right hook which dropped him to the canvas. As the bell rang for the 4th round, Manuel Villalobos stayed seated in his corner to end the fight.

This was the first 6 round fight Lil Pete fought and looked impressive as things look promising for a fight this May 16 in the Tor Rank event highlighting Gennady “GGG” Golovkin.

Jackie Nava was the highlight event of the night in Rosarito in an even promoted by Promociones Zanfer. Nave retained her WBA/WBC title after an impressive victory with a sold out crowd at the Centro De Conveciones Hall.
